Using a weekly Meal Plan takes the drama out of midweek dinners. Stay balanced, save money and save your sanity!
This is the second weekly meal plan I will be sharing on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and so many of you asked for all of the info in one place, so here it is.
Watch out for the videos of each recipe coming each night this week, so you can cook along.
For reference, I shopped for this Meal Plan in March 2022 at Aldi and it cost £33.18.
Why use a weekly food planner?
⭐️ Knowing exactly what food to buy for avoids food waste, saving you money.
⭐️ Having a plan for dinner avoids the mental load of “what’s for dinner?” question every night.
The printable shopping list can be found here.

Some tips for using a family meal planner:
➡️ Check for any items on the shopping list that you already have in your cupboard.
➡️ Maybe think about doubling up and freezing a recipe or two where the recipes are suitable, so save cooking another day or for the weekend.
➡️ Remove ingredients for any meals that you don’t want to cook.
➡️ The shopping list includes the cheapest version of each ingredient. Obviously if you want to buy lower fat mince or free range etc, that’s personal choice.
➡️ All of the recipes are to serve 4, so if you’re cooking for 2, simply halve the ingredients.
Weekly Meal Ideas: The Recipes
Dinner 1
⭐️ Serve with homemade chips and salad. Follow the recipe in the link for the method.
⭐️ Make a Tzatziki with 250g of yoghurt plus half of a cucumber grated (squeeze the water out with your hands). Mix together with salt and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
⭐️ I like to cook my kebabs on a grill rack in the oven while the chips are cooking. They will take about 25 minutes. Check they are full cooked through before serving.
⭐️NOTE: If you want to be super organised and save energy you can bake your potatoes ready for tomorrow and store in the fridge overnight.
Chicken Kebab Recipe
Dinner 2
⭐️ Serve with salad.
⭐️ I omitted the egg from the recipe as I didn’t need to buy eggs for anything else. They are fine without.
⭐️ I used 50g of the Garlic and Herb Cream Cheese instead of regular soft cheese in the recipe.
⭐️ For the salad:
- 2 tomatoes
- Half cucumber
- Tin of sweetcorn
- 1 pepper
- Juice of lemon
- 150g natural yoghurt
- 2 tsp honey (from your cupboard if you have it)
Loaded Potato Skins (with Bacon and Cheese}
Dinner 3
⭐️ Serve with boiled rice and cucumber salad.
⭐️ I used a red onion instead of the white mentioned in the recipe.
⭐️ Make a cucumber salad with 250g of yoghurt, half a cucumber chopped into cubes plus a tablespoon of mint sauce.
Keema Curry {Easy Beef Mince Recipe!}
Dinner 4
⭐️ Serve with tortilla chips from your shopping list.
Vegetarian Enchiladas {with Butternut Squash}
Dinner 5
⭐️ Serve with garlic bread: I made homemade garlic bread by slicing the baguettes, popping under the grill for 5 minutes, then flipping over, topping with a little garlic puree, salt and olive oil and grated cheddar cheese, and melting the cheese under the grill.

Love the weekly meal plans and I hope they continue as it takes the hassle out of planning so thank you 🙂 just two points. 1) I was unable to find weekly meal plan 1 and 2) I struggled to find the meal plans under cheap eats – perhaps they should have their own tab on your website. Thanks again for making life so much simpler (and affordable) x
Thank you so much. ❤
Amazing! Just what a busy single mum of 3 boys is looking for 👏🏽
So happy it’s useful Amy xx
Will you be doing more? I love these and they make life so much easier!
Any chance of a veggie week plan? Xx
Loving the recipes. Caught sight of the kebabs one even. Spend ages trawling through social media but was relieved when I found it. Such easy meals. Just how I like them. You are much more adventurous with your ingredients… I’m giving it a go and the kids ( well most of them ) are tucking in. Thanks for the weekly plan. It’s really useful.( Won’t need to search now)… The ever present, ” what’s for dinner” dilema … You are a star XXX
Ahh Thanks Fiona!!
