Why you’ll love this Big Mac Sauce recipe

⭐️ Perfect for homemade fakeaways!

⭐️ Just 5 simple ingredients

⭐️ Quick to make for a variety of dishes

Big Mac Sauce Ingredients

Small bowls of Big Mac Sauce ingredients on a white counter top.
  • Mayonnaise – I used full fat but reduced fat is also fine
  • Paprika – Regular paprika, not smoked
  • Gherkins – Buy these chopped or whole and chop them up finely yourself
  • Pickle juice – Use the liquid from the gherkin jar
  • Mustard – American mustard here gives colour and just the right balance of flavour. Don’t use English mustard, it would be very strong!

How to serve

➡️ In burgers – Try it in any kind of burgers – beef, chicken, halloumi

➡️ In pasta – Have you tried my Cheeseburger Pasta?!

➡️ As a sauce to dip Homemade Chips in or Chicken Nuggets

FAQs

IHow does homemade Big Mac sauce compare to McDonald’s?

It tastes very similar to the original, and dare I say – I think it may taste even better?!

The Big Mac sauce on an actual Big Mac has a lot more ingredients, including oils, sugars, vinegars, salts etc. Far more additives than a homemade version, for sure.
