Prepare the raw food for your slow cooker in advance this week! This selection of Fridge Dump Bag recipes show you how to get ahead for the next few days.

Six dump bag slow cooker recipes suitable for the fridge.

You might have heard and used my Slow Cooker Dump Bags plan before, which involves putting ingredients into a bag and freezing for another day.

Well here’s a new series that you may find even more convenient – Fridge Dump Bags!

Ingredients stay fresh for a few days when refrigerated, so here we’re giving you a choice of slow cooker meals that can be prepped for the next 3 days and stored in the fridge instead of the freezer.

Why? So we can take out the steps of having to remember to defrost them or give them time to thaw, making midweek meal times even more streamlined.

This is the first in our new series – we hope you find it useful!

What is a ‘Fridge dump bag’?

A dump bag is where you prepare all (or most) of the ingredients for a slow cooker meal and put them into a container together in the fridge.

When it’s time to cook, simply take your made-up mixed raw ingredients and ‘dump’ them into a slow cooker and switch it on.

It makes dinner prep SO much easier on busy days!

What’s the benefit of meal prepping like this?

⭐️ Use days when you do have a tiny bit of spare time to help you on days that you don’t.

⭐️ Less thinking time. We’re taking out the step where you have to remember to take your ingredients out of the freezer and wait for them to thaw, making the next few days’ dinners instantly ticked off your list.

⭐️ You can go on to freeze leftovers knowing they haven’t already been frozen, OR make a double batch and freeze a portion for another week.

❗️Important ❗️

If we call ‘marinating’ where the ingredients are sitting with anything else that’s ‘wet’ touching it, it’s better not to marinate meat for more than 24 hours if possible (and chicken, with acidic marinades, less than 2 hours!).

I have added instructions with best practice on each recipe below, but if in doubt, add the meat to the dump bag just before you’re ready to cook.
