(That pleasing moment when your nail polish matches your smoothie.)
Here are the recipes for 3 of my favourite smoothies at the moment. I’ve never been a fan of vegetables in smoothies before as in my old blender they were something like lumpy, cold soup (sorry old faithful £5 blender). In a power blender they are completely different. A great way of getting an extra portion of raw veg in before I’ve even started the day.
Orange Tiger Smoothie (named by George)
Ingredients
- 1 Orange, peeled
- 2 Carrots, chopped
- 1 tbsp of fresh raw ginger, peeled (I store mine in the freezer and use straight from there)
- 1 Apple, chopped
- 1 cup Almond Milk
Instructions
- Blend until smooth and serve over ice.
- (I like heaps of ginger, you may like to try it with less.)

- 1 cup Water
- 1 Apple, chopped
- 1 Banana, peeled
Instructions
- Blend the water and spinach for about 30 seconds until like green liquid.

Beetroot Berry Burst
Ingredients
- 3 small Beetroot, raw, peeled
- Handful of raspberries, I use frozen
- 1 Banana, peeled
- 2 cups Almond milk
Instructions
- Blend until smooth.
- I like to garnish with some extra frozen berries.

Are you a blender fan? How do you squeeze extra fruit and veg into your diet? Do you think smoothies cancel out cake?

We love our Froothie, it’s become a key appliance in our kitchen, for the reasons you mention. It’s quick, very powerful and not too noisy either. I love it for making custard, as an ice cream base and of course, in summer being able to freeze fresh fruit and make instant sorbets is fantastic.
I have just pinned these to try S and I need to have more beetroot in m diet.
Beautiful smoothies and great review Sarah. It sure is a fabulous beast!
Love these juices, they look like jewels:-) I would love a Froothie as my Braun Multipractic may have served me well but it can’t do all this:-)
Wow, that does look like a great Smoothie maker but I’m not sure I can justify the cost to hubby. He’s still begrudging me buying a Nutribullet. The smoothies look great though xx
Oh I love those beautiful colours of your smoothies! What a great machine Froothie must be 🙂
wow those smoothies look gorgeous!
These all look beautiful, but I am especially a fan of a green smoothie. I start my day with one every day.
Those smoothies look so inviting, especially the beetroot berry burst, purple is my favourite colour after all! Clearly a £5 blender is no match for the mighty Froothie 🙂
Wowee that machine looks like a beast! I have never heard of it but am definitely off to investigate. Those smoothies look amazing and I love your glasses – I have a soft spot for Kilner and those recycled style glasses x
