Notes

Type of oats: Rolled oats work so much better than whole oats. If you don’t have any rolled oats to hand, you can put whole oats into a food processor and pulse them until they break down (try not to overdo this as you will end up with oat flour instead!).
To reheat: Pop them in the microwave and heat for around 2 minutes until they are hot throughout. (Make sure you are using microwave safe ramekins!)
Make in advance: This baked oats recipe is so easy you can make plenty in advance, bake in the morning or simply eat cold. For those super organised people you can even make, bake and freeze!
Don’t overcook: Try not to overcook the baked oats as they become dry.
Berries: You can use fresh or frozen berries, if you are using frozen berries you may need to cook the oats a little longer to ensure they are heated through.
Making in larger quantities: This recipe is perfect for batch cooking, you can increase the quantity of the recipe using the slider for the quantity you need, and bake in a muffin tin. (for guidance 1 serving makes approx 3 muffin sized portions) Make sure the tin is well greased with sunflower oil to stop the oats from sticking.  To get them out of the tin leave to to cool for 5 minutes and then run a knife around the edge of each one, they should then pop out nicely.
