Ingredients

  • 320 g Puff Pastry Sheet See Note 1.
  • 1 Egg
  • 175 g Mincemeat See Note 2.
  • 2 tbsp Caster sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C.

  2. Brush one half of each rectangle with beaten egg.

  3. Fold the part without any egg wash onto the mincemeat dollop and seal with a fork (the egg wash seals the edges).

  4. Brush the top with more add and sprinkle over the sugar.

  5. Bake in the hot oven for about 10 - 15 minutes or until golden.

Recipe Notes

Note 1 - Puff Pastry

Remove this from the fridge about half an hour before you want to use it if possible. This will make it softer and easier to handle.

Note 2 - Mincemeat

Any type of sweet mincemeat you like is fine. Be sure not to over fill these pies or it will burst out!
