A midweek fakeaway without the effort. This Honey Garlic Beef Noodles recipe in the slow cooker is seriously delicious and so easy.
I LOVE a recipe that feels like a treat, but is secretly fairly healthy and ridiculously simple to make. This Slow Cooker Noodles recipe is exactly that. YES!
No need to reach for the takeaway menu this weekend. This latest recipe in my Slow Cooker collection is full of flavour, sticky-ish sauce and also veggies to add to the colour and crunch, as well as part of your five-a-day.
As always, I’ve made sure the ingredients list is great value for money so it ticks the boxes for a family friendly midweek meal too. And the best thing of all – no need for browning. Just stick everything in and let it do its thing until it’s ready for the noodles!
You’ll love this recipe because:
✅ Tastes just like a takeaway
✅ A healthy meal that’s full of veggies
✅ Full of flavour and so simple to make
FAQs about this Slow Cooker Beef Noodles Recipe
Can I make this with another kind of meat?
You could try the same recipe using diced pork shoulder or lamb instead if you prefer or want a different variation.
My sauce is quite runny. What can I do?
Don’t worry, this can happen depending on the noodle brand and how much liquid they absorb as they cook. To thicken the sauce, once the noodles are cooked, just add 1 tbsp of cornflour (corn starch in the US) mixed with 2 tbsp of water and stir through the dish.
Can I use different vegetables?
Yes, you can mix this up as much or as little as you like. Here I’ve used green pepper and sugar snap peas, but you can try whatever you prefer. Baby sweetcorn or mangetout are also good options.
Can you recommend a good slow cooker for a gas hob?
I find the Morphy Richards Sear & Stew Slow Cooker to be the best one because you can use it for initial browning on the hob for other dishes and it’s really light.
Can you recommend the best slow cooker for an induction hob?
For this one I would definitely say the Lakeland Digital 6.5l Slow Cooker.
I’d like to use a slow cooker but don’t have a lot of time in the mornings. What can I do?
Convenience is key, but then again, even slow cookers have to be filled and switched on! You could always get the ingredients ready the evening before, put everything in the slow cooker pan and store in the fridge overnight. In the morning, simply place in the slow cooker frame and switch on, or use this WiFi plug to switch on later in the day remotely!

Notes
Make this dish with diced pork shoulder or lamb if you want to try something different. Thicken the sauce:
If you have too much sauce, don’t worry. Just can add 1 tbsp of cornflour (corn starch in the US) mixed with 2 tbsp of water and stir through which will thicken it. Veggie Boost:
You can add some extra vegetables with the noodles, such as baby sweetcorn or mangetout. Spring onions: If you're in the US you can use scallions or green onions.

Would it matter if was in the slow cooker on low for 9 hours? Just thinking if I put it on before work. Thanks.
Thought I’d switch it up & try this beef recipe instead of the chicken noodle one (which my family adore!) & OMG this recipe went down a storm – they absolutely loved it! I can’t thank you enough Sarah for bringing these wonderful (simple) recipes out for us – for so long I lost my cooking mojo – but it’s well & truly back with your wonderful recipes & I know my Fam is very grateful! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Hi there. If cooking on LOW for 5.5 hours, would the timing after addition of noodles etc at step 4 still be 30mins or would this be longer? Or would I whack it up to HIGH for that last 30mins?
Can you use fresh noodles as apposed to dry in this?
Loved this with beef, could you do it with chicken?
