Harri’s favourite word this week is ‘doggy’. She shouts it loud and proud at any sniff of a canine. I had no idea how totally proud hearing these little words yelled would make me.
Given her new found love of animals, on Sunday we thought we’d show her some more and visited a brlliant new children’s farm between Kidderminster and Worcester, Little Owl Farm Park.
Are you ready for the cutest thing you’ll see all day? These are 2 week old piglets…
There were some that were only a day old but I was so totally engrossed that I forgot to take a photo of them. Oops.
All that reading A Squash and A Squeeze has had an effect; they saw the goats ran towards them shouting “got! got! got!” We fed these little furry fellas from our hands with the help of Jim.
We peeked at teeny tiny newly hatched chicks.
In the petting barn we met the guinea pigs and rabbits. The staff were so patient, spending time explaining each animal and where they came from, giving us time to say hello and have a stroke.
There are big tractors to look at…
… and a whole barn full of little tractors to ride on.
There’s a whole soft play barn which is clean and shiny as a new pin. Anyone that has spent any amount of time at soft play centres, will know they are normally something like a Reflex nightclub in the sticky floor stakes. Not here.
I couldn’t quite resist the ball pit.
But the slide was our favourite..
We didn’t even get time to visit the indoor sandpit, the paddocks of animals or cafe. If you’re nearby (or even if you’re not) I’d definitely recommend a visit.
